I’m going to begin this post with a rant.

This is stupid. As I currently write this, we still have no power in our apartment and on our block, which seems to still be the only block around with no power. The electricity came back on for like 30 seconds this morning, and right as I was going to celebrate by hitting that dougie, it went back off (also right as Garrett got out of bed, hoping to watch HIMYM). I don’t understand how a 20 minute storm can take out the power for so long. Like, it snows here right? I’m going to make the assumption that everywhere outside Texas experiences some snow. What happens if it snows for, say, more than 20 minutes? How long are people here screwed for? I don’t get it.

Anyway, still without power, much of the day was spent playing more Pokemon and sorta figuring out what to do. We went to Starbucks for a bit and we went to this place for dinner called Cadillac Jack’s, where we ended up continuing the pizza search. They had the best pizza we’ve eaten in town, but we still agree that this couldn’t be the best pizza in Dayton.

I think tomorrow we’ll be heading to that City Folk Festival we’ve mentioned and watching the Euro Cup final. Hopefully we’ll have electricity back by then. Hopefully my laptop will also start working well again too; I’m writing this post on Garrett’s computer while he plays Pokemon. That reminds me…today I finally obtained Lapras, the chosen one, in all his (her?) glory. I also beat Koga and Team Rocket in the Silph Scope tower but that’s not nearly as important.

If we don’t have electricity by tomorrow morning, the next post I make will probably begin with a more explicit rant.
