G34

Duke and I did our part to thwart terrorism this morning. I can’t tell you how, but we
did. Also, I was raining really hard this morning, which caught me by surprise because it
doesn’t rain in Texas and it hasn’t really rained since we’ve been here, either.

We decided not to go to the gym after work today because it was more important to make
it to The Dark Knight Rises on time. We had our priorities straight.

Duke spent the whole day worrying that the car was going to run out of gas, which he
wanted to blame on me. I told him to relax, but he kept freaking out. He’s spent the last
two days acting as if I couldn’t do anything without his help. I may be stupid, but I am
capable of most* of the functions necessary for survival. And if he doesn’t want the car
to run out of gas, maybe he should drive the damn thing every now and then.

*I occasionally forget to eat.

I’m a bit sick of driving everywhere, but today I decided to make the best of it by playing
music that he doesn’t like while I’m driving. The only problem was that I very nearly
started punching him when he criticized Nirvana while I was driving 70 miles per hour.
That might not have ended well.

This might be a good time to refute the vicious rumors Duke tried to spread in his post
last night. For the record, I never thought that writing a blog post every day was a good
idea because I hate talking. It was originally Duke’s idea to post every day. After a
week and a half, he realized that it might be difficult to do, and said we shouldn’t post
every day. I told him that he was right, but that we couldn’t stop because we had already
started. It was too late to back out, so we had to stick with it. I stand by this, even though
it means I will probably be completely silent for six months after we finish this blog. I’m
actually really looking forward to that.

Now that I’m done complaining about Duke, I should mention tonight we continued the
search for the best pizza in Dayton. Tonight’s was probably the best we’re going to find.
I don’t think Duke liked it much, but it was the best we’ve had so far, and if he thinks
we’re going to find better in Ohio, he’s delusional.

Then we went to see the new Batman movie, which was fantastic. I can’t really explain
how amazing it was, and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, so that’s all I’ll say about that.

Most importantly, it has come to my attention that the new Gaslight Anthem album has
been posted online in its entirety. I’m going to spend the next 56 hours doing nothing but
listening to that. Seriously, I’m so happy.
