It has been 31 hours since there was last electricity in the University Park Apartments. Even worse, it has been 46 hours since I last watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother. I can’t put up with this much longer.

This morning, I was awakened by Duke joyfully shouting in our living room. I got up and came out of my room just in time to see the lights go off again. For some reason, the power had come on for about 15 seconds and then gone off again. That was pretty much the highlight of our day. We’ve just been trying to survive in the dark.

It was supposed to get up to about 95 degrees today, which isn’t too bad, but it would be nice to have the air conditioning right now. I also really need to do a load of laundry right now. But most importantly, I REALLY need to watch How I Met Your Mother right now.

We took a trip to Starbucks today to check our email and post our blog entries for yesterday, but unfortunately Duke doesn’t know how to use his computer, so we couldn’t get the blog posts up. We did write them last night, though. Hopefully the power will be back on by tomorrow morning and Duke will figure out how his computer works so we can get the blog updated.

I think tomorrow Duke and I will be going to the folk music festival downtown, because there will be things to do there. It’s starting to look like we won’t have power here tomorrow, so we’ll need somewhere to go.
