G28

Today we went to Columbus. We had a few reasons to go there: Duke has a friend there,
I wanted to see a soccer game there, and it’s way more interesting than Dayton. It’s about
an hour drive from Dayton to Columbus, or at least it would be if people in Ohio knew
how to drive.* We arrived in Columbus a little later than expected, so we didn’t get to do
everything that Duke had planned for us, but we still had a good time.

*Ohioans are almost as bad at driving as Texans are. Almost, but not quite.

First we got lunch. Duke is an idiot and left his card at the restaurant, so I had to pay for
everything for him the rest of the day.

We spent most of the afternoon at the zoo. The zoo in Columbus is pretty nice, and they
have some cool animals there. There is also an aquarium and a water park that are part
of the zoo, too. The zoo was really big, but I thought they didn’t have a great variety of
animals.

After going to the zoo, we went to THE Ohio State University to meet up with his friend.
She kind of took us on a tour of the campus area, which was really interesting to see.
Duke wants to go back to Columbus next weekend to play ultimate with her and her
friends, so we may do that.

Finally, we went to the Columbus Crew game against Sporting Kansas City. Duke
was afraid that my support for the visiting team was going to get us both killed, but we
survived. The good guys won 2-0.

I also want to point out that the picture Duke posted last night of the google + chat is
clearly not a real picture. It shows me in the center of the screen, which would mean I
was talking louder than anyone else in the conversation. We all know that couldn’t have
really happened, so that picture must be fake.
