After Thursday's post, Garrett and I ended up going to get fourthmeal at Steak n' Shake. This is the conversation we had as we pulled up:
"Should we eat here or eat back at home?"
"Ummmm..."
"If we take it home, we can watch another episode of How I Met Your Mother..."
"...ok let's do that."

Today was a little weird. The day started with a fire alarm in the morning, forcing us all to evacuate the labs. I was pretty sure no work was going to get done the rest of the day, but we ended up being productive the rest of the afternoon. Also, some of the materials I need to work with came in the mail today, so next week should be the beginning of [super magical research]. One more thing I noticed at work today was everybody complaining about the heat, which I thought was kinda weak...It was only about 95 degrees today; wait till it hits triple digits and then start complaining.

We left work just in time for a pretty strong but short-lived storm to hit. It was apparently strong enough to cancel the event planned at the base for tonight. It was also strong enough to take out electricity from most of the town. Pretty much everybody in this area got it back though...everybody except our block. So we're out of power for now.

The quest for the finest pizza in Dayton was not deterred however; we braved the storm and went to the Flying Pizza. After some deliberation, we determined that this was not the best pizza in town, so the search continues.

With no power comes no responsibility (HIMYM), so we ended up playing our respective Pokemon games for most of the rest of the night. I was able to capture a Kangaskhan right before heading to bed, and I'm getting pretty close to obtaining Lapras, meaning Garrett won't really need to play anymore because any hope of him defeating me will be lost.
