G32
Work today was much better than yesterday. We started half an hour late because he had
to get new passes to get on the base, and it took a while to get that figured out. All the
machines in the lab were behaving today (except the one I don’t know how to use, which
is perfect), and I got to watch Duke’s coworkers irritate him pretty much all day.
After work today, Duke told me that he wanted to try to find a good barbecue place for
dinner. This led to quite the argument. Basically, he thinks the odds of finding a good
barbecue place in Ohio are better than the odds of a million dollars falling out of the
sky and hitting me in the head. I disagree. I spent about an hour trying to convince him
otherwise, but he wouldn’t listen.* I think since he only knows Texas barbecue, his
standards are just way lower than mine are.
*One of these days he’s going to learn that I’m always right.
So we ended up getting dinner at some barbecue place, and, of course, it was terrible. I
almost stopped eating after one bite because it just wasn’t any good. It was so bad that
Duke even admitted that he was wrong as we were walking back to the car.
The moral of the story is the following: I was right and Duke was wrong.
Anyways, I had to make myself a second dinner tonight because I’m fat and our first
dinner was so bad.
