D24

I don't know if I've mentioned this yet, but there's a high school intern working at the Air Force Base named Arjune (I'm not completely sure if he has the last 'e' in his name though). He is not as smart or awesome as Arjune the recent Rice graduate (very few on the planet are as smart or awesome), so I have for now dubbed him Arjune the Lesser. Another fun fact from work: Garrett does NOT have steady hands. Today I joined his lab to do some stuff and watched him do [magical science involving the use of precise hand control]... I don't know how he gets stuff done with how much his hands shake, but he perseveres. I have far steadier hands, but I'm more bold when I try [handling magical science things], so I screw up more often than I should.

Today at the rec center, I managed to get 2 games of basketball in today, and I could've gotten in a third but decided to leave to eat dinner. It was...ok, I guess. Draining a 3 right when somebody said "he's not gonna make it" was a *Rick Ross grunt* moment.

Garrett insisted that we watch the All-Star Baseball game tonight (the whole being-in-Kansas-City thing). It was boring and uninteresting. It wasn't close after the first inning. Garrett fell asleep a little past halfway through the game. Falling asleep was a trend throughout the later stages of the game. I had more fun rewriting the Powderpuff Constitution. I don't understand why this game determines home field advantage in the World Series. When I mentioned this, Garrett responded "well, what are you gonna do". I said "have it go to the team with the better record?" to which he had no good response. I imagine conversations about baseball having instant replay end in a similar fashion. Can you tell I'm not the biggest baseball fan?

Tonight I relived part of my childhood with some Bagel Bites.
