This post will explain why Tim Tebow is the chosen one.
The weekend continued to kinda suck as we still had no power
this morning, so we went to Starbucks to figure out what time the soccer game
was and to do things on our devices that require electricity to work.
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the final. While we
were there, Garrett and I noticed that there was a “Heat Advisory” in effect
for most of the nearby counties. We’ve determined that people in this area are
wimps when it comes to weather. You all really need something on your TV to
warn you “hmmmm it’s kinda hot outside”, and it’s only like 93 degrees outside?
I’m so appalled. That’s a nice afternoon where I’m from, but here people are
trippin’ over 93 degrees? You know what this is? Ridiculous.
After watching the game (pretty close, wasn’t it?), we
decided to go downtown to check the festival.
*The first quarter; only about 2 first downs have been
gained by the offense*
On the way there, we saw an old black man riding a bike and
some white people in a van have an interesting exchange of words. I wasn’t able
to hear every word clearly but I’ll let you figure out which is which.
Particular words have been censored for younger audiences.
“*something something*, [African-American]!”
“[Screw] you, [female dog]!”
*That painful fumble in the middle of the 2nd
quarter that gets returned for a touchdown for the other team; the offense
continues to look anemic*
As I shrunk and hid in my seat as we continued towards the
festival, we found out that it was postponed for an incoming storm; we decide
to go back home and come back later, but on the way home we run into this same
exact storm. Similar to Friday’s storm, it was sorta windy and creepy but
really short-lived, and after about 30 minutes it was nice and sunny outside
again. I think people here just don’t know how to handle weather.
*It’s halftime; the game isn’t over but there’s nothing to
suggest that Tebow will end up with a positive outcome*
When we went back to the festival, we kinda walked around
but we weren’t interested in the music, so we explored to see if there was more
“nice part of downtown Dayton”. It turns out there is; we walked down a few
blocks where it was nice…
*Tebow’s starting to get in a rhythm in the 3rd
quarter*
…and then we randomly ran into this shirtless dude walking
down the street, barking randomly…
*…stupid false start penalty…*
We returned home to find there was still no power, so we
went to the residential services office to recharge our stuff. Suddenly, some
dude introduces himself to us and informs us that there is power everywhere on
campus. We immediately pack our stuff up and return back to our apartment.
*Tebow is lining up that 2 minute drill*
We return home to find our power back, and promptly watch episodes
of HIMYM. Even though most of our day (and weekend) was kinda screwed by having
no power, the day is saved, HIMYM is watched, our fridge doesn’t
smell like the rotten milk that Garrett acknowledged was starting to smell bad
yet put back in the fridge, and I still have that level 38 Lapras.
*Final victory on the 60 yard field goal*
