G42

Today we went to Scene 75, which is basically a giant indoor playground. There’s laser
tag, mini golf, go karts, bumper cars, giant inflatable slides, video games, arcade games,
and a bar. We spent several hours and quite a bit of money there. Of course all of these
activities turned into competitions,* and of course I won more than Duke did.

*I noticed that Duke’s post from last night discussed the merits of noncompetitive
athletic activities. Competitions are more fun.

We started with mini golf. I was leading most of the way, but I gave the lead away on the
last few holes. Then we played FIFA on a giant projection screen, and I destroyed Duke.
The race through the inflatable obstacle course wasn’t even competitive. I don’t know
what Duke was doing, but I beat him by at least ten seconds. Next, we took a break so
Duke could waste his money by setting high scores on all four of the basketball arcade
games and driving a go kart.** Finally, in the most important event of the day, I was the
top scorer out of about twenty people in the laser tag game. I believe I outscored Duke by
about 4000 points.

**I didn’t participate in the go karting because I don’t see how that’s any different from
driving around in a regular car, which I can do without paying eight dollars.

Anyways, after Duke admitted that I was the overall winner for the day, we picked up a
pizza and went home to watch How I Met Your Mother and the Olympics. Tomorrow
we will finally finish our tour of the Air Force Museum and probably watch more of the
Olympics.
