Today was regular. Tomorrow the people at work are going to take us out to lunch as our going-away luncheon, and Friday is this big picnic that it seems like most people working at the base are going to, so it seems like not very much work will happen the next couple of days. As I've mentioned, most of my peeps are leaving next week anyway, so my time left in the lab is dwindlinggg.
Have you ever had a pet dog that saw something outside and ran towards the window to get a better look at it? Earlier tonight, Garrett saw a plane flying above and hustled to the window to get a better look in a similar fashion. He's easily distracted by large planes, which sometimes gets scary when he's driving anywhere near the base. For most of the night, we've been able to watch the lightning out of the window to our balcony, and it looks kinda intense. I'm a little afraid we're gonna lose power and the ability to watch HIMYM (we're partway through season 5 on our second run now). We might've lost the ability to watch the MLS soccer game too, which would mean Garrett would have no unintelligent soccer announcers to yell at.
Also, our blog surpassed 1000 views today, which is not over 9000 but still pretty awesome. *insert statement of thanks*
I let the Hawaiian rolls go bad :(
