When we left work today, there were probably only ten other people in the building.
Almost nobody even bothered to show up today, and pretty much everyone who did
come was gone by lunchtime.
A kid who works with Duke spent most of the day in my lab today. After working there
for about an hour, he started telling me about how I do so much more work than he and
Duke do. He basically said that he and Duke sit around and do nothing all day.
This evening, Duke and I looked for Fourth of July events that we could attend
tomorrow. Unfortunately, most of the events are nearby small towns having parades early
in the morning. We found a few different fireworks shows we can go to, though, so we’ll
probably do that tomorrow night.
We also started figuring out when and where we can go see the new batman movie. Duke
seems to think that this is something that needs to be decided soon. It looks like he found
a place where we can see the movie in IMAX, so that should be cool.
I had to turn off How I Met Your Mother and lock the xbox controller in my room for
two hours just to make Duke take a shower and change clothes.
And now he’s fallen asleep on the couch halfway through an episode of How I Met Your
Mother.* He hasn’t written his blog post yet tonight, and he still puts mine online, so it
looks like our posts won’t be going up until tomorrow morning. **
*Who’s not thinking of the greater good NOW?
**Update: I tried to wake him up to make him write his post, but he said he was too tired
and went back to sleep. Looks like somebody’s commitment to the blog is faltering.
